Calligrapher Designs Tribute For 2 Badminton Masters | Write With Ink | 墨迹

Hey everyone, I am Bryan. Today on Write with Ink, we are going to design a tribute for Lee Chong Wei and Lin Dan in conjunction with the recent retirement of Lin Dan. This is going to be slightly different from what everyone is doing, I am going to write their names in a special style and photoshop them into one or two posters, signifying their prominence in the badminton world.

A little background on them, Lee Chong Wei and Lin Dan are one of the best rivals in the badminton world, experts speculate that it will be difficult to see anyone perform better than them in the near future. Personally, I am not a big fan of badminton, I only know that the shuttlecock must not touch the ground during the game, that is what badminton is to me. However, whenever the duo clash (normally is during the finals of big games), I will watch them. They radiate very good sportsmanship and rivalry that could not be topped easily by anyone, they are like the Ronaldo and Messi of football. Plus, their playing style is very different from normal badminton players and can be described as swift and acute.

Ok, once we get the basics down, we can focus on what we are writing today. Lee Chong Wei’s Chinese name is 李宗伟 whereas Lin Dan is 林丹. Badminton in Chinese is called 羽毛球. These are the things that we are going to focus on in this video.

Here are some designs:
